What is Music Therapy?
Music therapy is an evidence-based creative arts therapy provided by a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC).
Our clinicians use specialized music experiences within a supportive relationship to support functional goals.

Music therapy is not a music class, performance, or entertainment.
No previous music knowledge, experience, or skill is required.
Our focus is not on classical accuracy or learning musical skills, but on how the cognitive, emotional, social, and sensory aspects of music can support wellbeing.
We leverage the joy of music to deliver the science of therapy.
Through enjoyment, creativity, and good humor, each intervention, instrument, and musical experience is intentionally selected to support individualized goals through evidence-based practice.

"(Music therapy) can make the difference between withdrawal and awareness, between isolation and interaction, between chronic pain and comfort -- between demoralization and dignity."
